So those close to me know that I had to get Layla my chihuahua fixed Friday because she was "in season." So I dropped her off at the vet's office that morning and Richie picked her up that afternoon. I got a good report from the vet but they said she had looked like she was in pain all day long so they gave her some pain meds. When we got home I cooked her some scrambled eggs and boiled some rice in chicken broth and cut up a half of a biscuit. She ate two bites and vomited everywhere. That's when I began to cry. My poor little baby just sat there helpless and appeared drugged. So last night before we went to bed we decided to try a little bit of ice cream (her favorite) and she kept it down. We put her in the bed between us and this morning when we woke at 7:15 I got up and fixed her some french toast for breakfast. She tolerated that well and now is trying to play a little. Her incision looks great, it's just a little bigger than I expected. For dinner she had more rice cooked in chicken broth and some cold milk. She loved it and is now laying on the couch next to her pops. She is doing so much better. We are having our friends Susan and Dave over tonight for poker and my neighbor Wes is here playing PlayStation with my hubby. We are just some big kids!!!
